Moving across the country, leaving my beautiful garden behind. I put in a lot of sweat building this almost ok by entirely myself. My husband did install the hoops and hardware!
I must have hauled 20+ cubic yards of wood chip, garden soil, and compost.
I'll especially miss my catel panel trellis. There are 4 and I had a really hard time getting them out to the house.
I'll miss my asparagus, 3rd year for it this year, and my strawberry patch which produced pounds of berries this year.
Goodbye old friend! I hope the next owners enjoy you as much as our family has.

I can feel your emotions and pain. You’ve built such a beautiful garden, kudos to you. You, with your grounding and your special relationship with nature and ability to make things grow, will continue to create great gardens wherever you end up next, wish you all the best with that and i hope to see pics from your new garden next year!!
I am moving in a couple weeks and have spent the last month slowly removing plants and getting things together. I take a lot of joy and serenity in the whole experience. This year I may not have been able to grow into the fall and winter, but I still learned and still had harvests. And luckily I started early this year so I was able to do a spring crop.
I have no idea when I’ll be able to garden again, but I think of it as a communion with nature that won’t always be there, but is extremely useful when it is.
Edit: I just noticed you’re in Maine, which is actually where I am moving to haha.
As someone who just planted my asparagus my heart breaks for you seeing you leave that asparagus behind! I’m sure whoever is moving in will be so blessed by what you’ve left behind! 🫶🏻

I’ve been wanting to move to Oregon for some years now but the main thing that’s held me off from it is not wanting to leave my garden 😂😭
