Springfield’s Restaurant scene expands
Springfield – Othello owner Vanesa’s parents immigrated here and opened a Middle Eastern bakery & a restaurant in jax. This has given Vanesa an opportunity to connect with her roots, bc when they moved to Jax, they did not know many immigrated Middle Easterns here. Vanesa had lived in NY and wanted to take the influences she got from the international food scene there and introduce her own take on Mediterranean dishes she created from classic dishes she grew up eating but with a global flair. Her food has influences from Morrocco, Algier, North African coast, and southern mediterranean, which is a combo not found in Jax.
They also want to announce that as a celebration of Othello’s 2nd year anniversary, the restaurant will be transformed into a party ground on Sat 9/12, with no dinner service but folks could purchase tickets for entry fee to come to a buffet with food stations, music, and charity donations.
To receive more info as they have it later, send them a DM on their IG @othellospringfield.
