L’Entrecôte d’Olivier Rooftop is one of those restaurants in downtown São Paulo that combines a delicious menu, architecture, and scenery. Located at the top of the Esther Building, the restaurant bears the signature of French chef Olivier Anquier and transforms a classic of French cuisine into an experience.

Since 2024, the restaurant has been part of the movement to rediscover the Centro neighborhood as a hub for culture and leisure. When visiting, guests find an atmosphere reminiscent of charming Parisian bistros, but with a distinctly São Paulo identity: overlooking the trees and the hustle and bustle of Praça da República.

L’Entrecôte d’Olivier’s journey began in 2007 in Itaim Bibi. The concept was bold: to serve only entrecôte—a cut similar to sirloin—with French fries and a special sauce. The recipe follows the tradition of French restaurants specializing in the dish, where just a few well-executed ingredients are enough to create an unforgettable meal.

Following the success of the original location, the chef decided to bring the concept to the 11th floor of the Esther Building, a historic structure dating back to 1937. Since then, the restaurant has offered much more than just meals: it’s also an invitation to view the city from a different angle.

The highlight of the menu is, of course, the entrecôte with French fries and the traditional house sauce, which the chef inherited from his Aunt Nicole. The recipe, kept under lock and key, is one of the unique features of L’Entrecôte d’Olivier Rooftop.

Before the main course, the meal may include a salad with cheeses and Dijon mustard dressing . And to top it off, the Belgian chocolate Royal mousse is one of the customers’ favorite desserts!

In addition to traditional meals, the restaurant offers beverages, wines, cocktails, and happy hour specials, especially in the late afternoon. At that time of day, the view from the top of the Esther Building becomes part of the experience! That’s why the restaurant is ideal for gathering with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or wrapping up your stroll through Downtown in an atmosphere that blends sophistication and relaxation.
