LINGLESTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — A local, family-owned Italian restaurant officially opened the doors to its newest location last week in Dauphin County.
Luna Italian Cuisine, owned and operated by Giovanni Scotto and his daughter/co-owner, Rossella Scotto, officially debuted at the Susquehanna Union Green Development off Linglestown Road on Aug. 12.
Plans for this new restaurant were first confirmed back in March 2025. With this opening, Luna Italian Cuisine joins other businesses, including Potato Coop, Playa Bowls and Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty.
According to Rossella Scotto, the authentic Italian menu offerings at the new space will be the same as what is offered at their West Shore location under the leadership of Chef Tony.

The new Luna location boasts about 120 seats on the first floor of the establishment, alongside an additional 50 seats on the second-floor mezzanine.
Scotto says another noticeable change at the new restaurant is their bar area, which is much bigger than their East Shore one, offering about 15 seats.
Since opening last week, the new Luna Italian Cuisine has created about 20 to 25 new jobs.
You can go visit the new restaurant Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Fridays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 9:30 p.m.
Luna Italian Cuisine first made its Midstate debut back in March 2023 after opening its West Shore restaurant at 100 Legacy Park Drive, Suite 102, in Mechanicsburg.
The Scotto family also operates several other restaurants in Central Pennsylvania, such as Visaggio’s Restaurant, Catering and Events in Enola, Two Brothers Pizza at the Strawberry Square and Swatara Township, Papa Joe’s Pizza & Subs on Tecport Drive in Harrisburg, and Mama’s Pizza in Highspire.
