Hey everyone! Need some help. I have purchased these last year and they were great UNTIL the silicone seals kept slipping off. It’s just too loose and they always leave the top when washing them.
Is this common? How to fix? Or do you recommend another brand to avoid this issue altogether, my wife is meal prepping now and looking to get another set without this problem.
Thanks in advance!

I haven’t used that brand, but I’ve been very happy with the glass containers from IKEA!
I mean I use them and take the silicone seals off regularly to clean underneath them and the seals so that mold and food bacteria doesn’t grow in there. That’s why they come off so easily.
As others have said, I really rate the IKEA ones. They also sell aluminium containers in the same sizes which are lighter if you’re taking them out of the house, but still dishwasher/oven safe.
The seals always pop out when i wash them too, i just press them back on before using and it’s annoying but works. Taking them off before washing might stop the loosening though
I actually just got these and I hate them because the flaps are too flappy. Trying to get the lid on is a little wrestling match every single time and I bought them like two months ago and the seals are already coming off.
I don’t have that brand, but I have nearly identical ones from Amazon and I haven’t noticed them becoming looser, but I did buy two sets at different times. I think one set is slightly different where if I put a rubber seal from one set on the other set lid it doesn’t fit quite the same and will come off.
Any day. Been using them for years for lunch prep and never replaced a lid etc. Well worth the investment
I agree. I have this Amazon set and the silicone seal comes out so often. In addition, the clips break off so much that I have an abundance of the small containers for mini lasagna and aluminum foil only.
They’re definitely more expensive but I love my ello duraglass containers. I’ve had them for about 5 years now and they go through the dishwasher at least weekly, sometimes more frequently and they still look practically new. I’ve also heard good things about the ikea 365 glass containers though I haven’t tried them myself.
I just avoid anything with a live hinge. Latch has to be a separate part.
