Grand opening offered some cheap combos, tried out their classic, chilli cheese fries (which were mostly stuck to the box lol), sea salt/cajun chips. Was a good value but I just don't taste any real flavour for the burgers or chilli, won't be back unfortunately or fortunately?

That looks… disappointing.
Hmm never had a Wayback burger, one just opened up nearby me. Perhaps they choose to not season the patties for some reason? I’ll have to give them a try for myself soon.
I remember going there quite a bit a really long time ago when there was one close by me and they had the discounted Wayback Classic combo on Tuesdays.
And while I haven’t gone quite as much as of late (the closest one to me is on West Chester Pike which is 10-ish miles out), their Cheeeesy Burger is delish.
That looks sloppy and delicious.

My experience with Wayback was positive. Burger and shake were very solid. But this was probably 5 years ago.
Some of my favorite burgers in the world. I used to eat them as a teenager and I remember thinking they were the perfect burger

Ours is really good but it takes fucking 35 minutes to get a single burger.
These are my favorite ‘semi slow’ burgers from a chain.
It’s not exactly fast food so I can’t call ’em that. I do make sure I customize my burgers when I go there as the experience varies thanks to franchising.
Even though I stated below, they are better in their original area, even there, some of the franchises do not uphold the standards unless you press them as far as seasoning. That said, I’m not surprised you may have felt a lack of flavor.

I’m not saying you have to go raise hell but I think they’d appreciate the feedback honestly. They may be ran by folks who see ‘money’ and aren’t really concerned about the little things. I think it might be an eye opener if a polite suggestion of seasoning is made. lol
I’m deadass btw. I’ve found that sort of feedback does make a difference in a new location’s product.
