A beloved Glasgow restaurant has been named the best in Scotland.
Piatto, an independent Italian eatery based in Langside, took home the title in the Uber Eats UK Restaurant of the Year Awards 2026.
The awards, which celebrate standout independent restaurants across the UK, saw Piatto named regional champion for Scotland and Northern Ireland after topping a public vote.

The restaurant will now compete in a live cook-off in London next month, where finalists will showcase their dishes in front of a judging panel led by comedian and food enthusiast Ed Gamble.
The overall winner will receive a £100,000 prize to help grow their business, while all regional champions will be awarded £5,000 and a bespoke growth package from Uber Eats UK.
Piatto is known for its traditional Italian menu, featuring freshly made pasta, artisanal pizzas, and a variety of chicken and gnocchi dishes.
Popular options include Parmigiana, Carbonara, Pollo Nduja, and Milanese, with customers regularly praising the restaurant’s food and service, particularly during the evening.
Other well-liked menu items include Piccante Parmigiana, Linguini al Gamberoni, and Angelo’s Special.
House specials such as Gnocchi Romana and Gnocchi Arrabiata are also favourites, alongside more classic options like Pomodoro and Pesto Genovese.
The restaurant offers a range of desserts, including Chocolate Brownie and Biscoff Millionaires Traybake.

The awards mark five years of the Restaurant of the Year programme and ten years of Uber Eats in the UK.
This year, the prize structure has been expanded to include £25,000 and £10,000 cash awards for second and third place respectively.

Piatto will compete against winners from London, the North East, North West, Midlands, East, South East, South West, and Wales.
Each finalist will prepare their signature dishes live for the judging panel during the final in London.
