Last year I made some jars of figs in syrup with a drop of whiskey. Highly recommend 🙂

My favorite recipe is to sit on the porch and watch YouTube shorts as I devour fresh figs.

I just quarter and cook them down with sugar (to taste) some vanilla bean and meyer lemon juice. After which you can jar it up and use it like jam or eat it like applesauce.
I loooove cooking figs savory!!! One of my all time favorite recipes is this braised chicken & figs. I hope you make because it’s just the most delicious thing in the world. I love to enjoy with challah:
The traditional recipe for eating them fresh is to wrap ham around them. But I personally prefer fresh figs eaten with olives. Olives are saltier than ham and the sweet-salty combo of olives and fresh figs is divine.
We also preserve them in syrup with lemon. A classy gift for friends. We made fig jam as well but for me it was too sweet.

Honey + cut fig = happy.
Also fig preserve is the best.
Simply drying them is one easy way to preserve them.
