Hundreds attended the grand opening of Bulle on Sunday evening as Fresno’s newest fine-dining restaurant officially launched.
Bulle — French for “bubble” — is the passion project of Tom and Davita Miller, who own and operate three Press Box Sports Grill locations. The concept for Bulle was inspired by the Millers’ dining tour of the finest restaurants in Europe. The restaurant serves California modern cuisine prepared using European culinary techniques.
In addition to running four restaurants, the married couple have a combined total of 41 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Bulle’s seasonal menus were designed by Chef Max McCarthy, who worked for Le Jardinière in Miami when the French eatery earned its Michelin star in 2019.
Local leaders attending the opening event, or sharing posts on social media, include Fresno City Attorney Andrew Janz, Fresno City Councilmember Nelson Esparza and Assemblymember David Tangipa.
Guests filled the bar area and sampled hand-passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening. Bulle offers a 6,500-square-foot dining room featuring booths upholstered in lavender-colored crushed velvet and a lighted tree wrapped in decorative moss.

With a 1,500-square-foot patio, Bulle offers 8,000 square feet of dining space.
Bulle, which held its soft opening back in March, is now operating at full capacity, offering reservations from Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Starting June 7, it will operate on Sundays from 11 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Despite the fine dining label, Davita previously told The Business Journal that Bulle is for everyone.
“We want everybody to be welcomed here,” she said.
