Man sentenced 12 years for stealing beer from Food Lion - Dining and Cooking

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) – A Richland County court sentenced a man 12 years for stealing beers.

Derrick McLemore attempted to steal a 24-pack of Bud Light from Food Lion in June 2024. When an employee intervened, McLemore pulled out a 12-inch metal object and threatened to stab the employee. The employee fled. Law enforcement arrested McLemore near the Food Lion.

McLemore was convicted of armed robbery on Aug. 24 of this year. He will spend 12 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
