GOUVERNEUR, New York (WWNY) – Food Truck Friday in Gouverneur has been a success, according to organizers.
Organized by the Gouverneur Chamber of Commerce, food trucks lined up on Church Street, next to the Gouverneur Village Park.
The idea was brought up by Christian Gillan, a chamber of commerce director. His idea was to host food trucks on the first Friday of the month, from noon to 7 p.m.
Friday was the second Food Truck Friday, and there will be a third in October.
“It’s been a massive success. Every food truck here has seen great profit. Even businesses in town that aren’t food trucks have had great profit as well,” Gillan said.
The plan is to pause Food Truck Fridays for the winter and resume them next summer.
