This is NOT my cookie but I'm looking to do something like this for my granddaughter's birthday. How do I space the boxes semi accurately? Start in the middle, then the far left, then far right and then do the rest? Help good people! Lol I need 7 boxes total. Tips much appreciated!

I would start with the 2 on the ends, then place the center, and then fill in the ones between those sections. I’ve found that gets me the most balanced and even designs when I’m doing stuff free hand.
With an edible marker Trace it out on a piece of parchment paper, then use the edible marker to trace over the parchment paper onto the cookie. The marker will bleed thru onto the cookie for you.
I’d sketch the full layout on parchment first, then press that guide onto the dough so the spacing is even without second-guessing.
