1968 recipe booklet from my mom’s stash. We recently went through some of her things for my dad. She was a hoarder who passed away over 10 years ago. One of the things she collected was recipes. I have scanned over 250 handwritten ones and there are these booklets and magazine clippings to scan eventually.

I hope somebody can find a recipe that they enjoy cooking and makes a great dish.

Let me know if you make anything from this little cookbook or if you need help reading any of these. Enjoy!

The Fluffy Top Nog recipe sounds like something you drank out of desperation during the Great Depression.

Woof, that “Duck Sauce” of thickened Tang.

Have you seen the Tasting History episode where Max Miller made Tang pie? He posted the recipe. That’s probably one you’re not going to want to try out as written.

One commenter said she swapped out the sour cream for a block of cream cheese and it was pretty good with a creamsicle flavor.

We loved Tang growing up, and used to sprinkle Tang on hot buttered toast at breakfast.

The Floating Garnish Punch I first read as Floating Garish Punch which makes sense considering the color.

We had black tea every morning. Mom sweetened it with a teaspoon of Tang.

I love Tang and have some in my cupboard now. I am going to have to seriously peruse these recipes. Let us know if you scan any more dessert ones. Thanks!

I’m all over that Cold Soufflé. I didn’t know they still made Tang!

Tang is super good warmed up too! I first learned about it bc of the Iditarod – it was (and I think still is!) a tasty way for mushers to stay warm and get some good vitamin C. My 11yo and I love it that way (though we both love it cold too) and it kinda scratches the same itch as warm cider, but it’s a little more refreshing since it’s not spiced.

Hot Cider Punch = Mulled Tang?
