Pasquale Ristorante, located at 2 Putnam Ave. in Port Chester, announced this week that it has made the “difficult decision” to close after 30 years in business. No reason for the closure was given, and the announcement did not specify a final day of business.
“This is not simply the closing of a business; it marks the end of a remarkable chapter filled with friendships, celebrations, memories, and countless meals shared together,” the restaurant said in a social media post.
Pasquale billed itself as an authentic Italian dining destination inspired by generations of family recipes and a focus on fresh ingredients and hospitality. Its menu is known for hand-crafted pastas, personal pizzas, regional Italian specialties, and seasonal wines.
The restaurant said it sought to become more than just a place to eat, serving as a gathering spot for everything from romantic dinners to birthdays, anniversaries, and family celebrations.
“To our loyal customers, thank you for welcoming us into your lives and allowing us to be part of your birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, and everyday moments,” the owners said, adding, “Your support, loyalty, and patronage have meant more to us than words can express.”
The restaurant also thanked its current and former employees for helping create the atmosphere that kept customers returning over the years.
“While our doors may be closing, the memories and relationships we have built will remain with us forever,” the restaurant said, finishing their announcement with, “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 30 unforgettable years.”
