I’m all for a kitchen staple that pulls double duty, but olive oil is one place where having two bottles really does make sense. Olio Piro’s organic extra-virgin olive oil is made in Tuscany and has enough flavor to make even the simplest salad or slice of bread feel a little bit special, while the brand’s Cucino oil is designed for all the sautéing, roasting, and sauce-making you do every day.

And here’s the good news: New customers can currently save 15% when they buy two or more bottles of Piro or Cucino. You can mix and match, but the Piro and Cucino duo is a particularly smart place to start, giving you one bottle for drizzling and one for cooking. Just use code KITCHN15 on an order over $65 through September 7.

What Is Olio Piro Extra-Virgin Olive Oil?

Olio Piro is an organic, early-harvest, single-origin extra-virgin olive oil produced in Tuscany. Meant to be drizzled and savored, it’s the bottle you reach for when the olive oil is meant to be noticed: over salads, crusty bread, grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or antipasti. It’s also earned a Gold Award at the New York International Olive Oil Competition every year from 2020 through 2026. Cucino, meanwhile, can withstand medium-to-high heat, making it ideal for sautéing, roasting, marinades, and sauces.

“This is some of the freshest oil I’ve ever tasted,” says Mara Weinraub, The Kitchn’s Editorial Director, Shopping and Groceries. “It’s buttery and rich, with a mild peppery flavor that adds character to everything it touches. I visited the facility in Italy four years ago, and I’ve kept a bottle of Piro — and later Cucino — in my kitchen ever since. For lunch today, I drizzled cut-up tomato, cucumber, and nectarine with this oil and a tiny bit of fig balsamic, then tossed it with fried halloumi, salt, and pepper. It was delicious and took all of 10 minutes.” Honestly, that sounds like a pretty solid argument for keeping a bottle within arm’s reach.
