I dragged this review for so long and now the guy’s gonna close the place so it seems like I should do it now or it will be too late.

I went in November/25 for lunch, after weighing this against Pierre Gagnaire. My priority during this trip was Le Gabriel which I managed to go and it was amazing, but Table also made it among my favorites in Paris.

First, the sommelier/wine pairing was probably the best I’ve ever had, also insanely generous. I told her I was very curious about their Ulysse Collin list but couldn’t afford a whole bottle for my solo lunch. Well, she opened a bottle of Pierrières on the spot and casually included a glass on the pairing, no extra charge. Just wow.

The other bottles were also just as delicious as they were crestive, including sherry

I’ve been weighing this vs Pierre Gagniere for lunch. Care to share why you chose Table?

The plating is so sane and focuses on food, and not fluff. I could taste each plate with my eyes without being distracted by a forest diorama. Great shots and review. Thanks.

  3. Glad you enjoyed it!

My wife and I really liked it there as well

Just realized Reddit cut my write up short for some reason so I’ll try to recreate it.

So, wine pairing included sherry with the sealed tuna and a beautiful red Bourgogne with the lobster.

The menu began with an unusual steak tartare: a very fresh and high-quality meat and just olive oil. I got the white truffle add-on for 80 euro which honestly wasn’t worth it but the dish was very good.

Shortly after came the salad and… honestly I hadn’t had that many flavours and textures in a salad before. 10/10 would leave happy just with that.

The following dishes were seafood and vegetable focused and if I had to choose a standout, the turbot was divine.

I read some criticism about the menu ending abruptly with the lobster without a more substancial meat dish and honestly I also felt that at the time but didn’t feel frustrated or tricked. The menu was excellent all throughout, chef clearly has great techique and respect for the produce. Also felt like a genuine Parisian experience in its way.

Also had a great meal there. Sad to see it’ll be closing

  7. I felt Table was hit or miss with the courses but I have to agree, the wine pairing was excellent and the highlight for my meal.
