Founded by Julie and Farid in Montrouge, the initiative supports senior women, preserves culinary heritage, and prepares its first group of 40 grandmothers for launch.
Champagne-sur-Oise, Ile-de-France Sep 11, 2026 (Issuewire.com) – Le Gang des Mamies, a social and culinary initiative founded by Julie and Farid, is bringing traditional homemade recipes from passionate grandmothers to communities across France.
The project was created to give grandmothers an opportunity to share their culinary knowledge, preserve recipes passed down through generations, and earn additional income from their talents.
The concept is simple: grandmothers prepare homemade menus based on recipes that are part of their family histories and personal traditions. Through these menus, customers can rediscover the authentic taste of traditional homemade food while supporting a project focused on senior women and culinary heritage.
The first launch is planned in Hauts-de-Seine, with around 40 grandmothers forming the initial group. The ordering platform is ready and kitchens have been secured. The current crowdfunding campaign aims to raise €20,000 to support equipment, training, communication, and the final preparations needed before launch.
Beyond food, Le Gang des Mamies aims to reduce isolation among older generations, encourage interaction between generations, and give valuable culinary knowledge a wider audience.
The project will begin in Hauts-de-Seine, with plans to expand across Île-de-France and eventually throughout France.
Every contribution will help Le Gang des Mamies move closer to its launch and support the development of this community-focused culinary initiative.
