A new upscale Italian restaurant is set to open in Green Hills this fall.

Lupo Notte, the first full-service restaurant from Nashville-based Southern Land Company, will open Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 2035 Richard Jones Road inside the company’s Vertis Green Hills mixed-use development. More Eat & Drink News

The restaurant will serve house-made pastas, pizzas, seafood, daily specials and other Italian-inspired dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. The menu will also include shareable plates such as wagyu beef carpaccio and signature Lupo meatballs.

Lupo Notte marks Southern Land Company’s first full-service restaurant, though the developer already owns and operates dining facilities at Westhaven Golf Club in Franklin.

“We’re excited to introduce what we believe will become the next great culinary addition in Green Hills – a place where friends gather, families celebrate, and special memories are made,” said Tim Downey, founder and CEO of Southern Land Company in a release.

Executive Chef Owen Lane will lead the kitchen. Lane most recently served as executive sous chef at Pastis in Nashville and has also worked at Audrey and June in East Nashville and The Boardroom in Franklin. A Tennessee native, Lane grew up on a family farm in Leiper’s Fork and has nearly 30 years of restaurant and hospitality experience.

The menu was developed by Lane alongside Southern Land Company leaders Alex Cauchon and Paul Sale, with additional collaboration from Westhaven Golf Club Chef Manlio Melloni.

Guests can expect creative house-made pastas, fresh seafood and 12-inch pizzas prepared in a three-deck oven designed to produce crisp pies. The beverage program will feature seasonal craft cocktails and a wine list with a strong focus on Italian varietals.

Nashville restaurant veteran David Rehrmann will serve as general manager. His background includes leadership roles at A Voce in New York City as well as Modern Italian and Zuzu in Nashville.

Lupo Notte will initially be open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch service is expected to begin later this fall.

The nearly 3,100-square-foot restaurant will seat approximately 110 guests indoors, with another 20 seats available across two outdoor patios.

Designed by Southern Land Company’s in-house team in collaboration with HASTINGS Architecture, the restaurant features a European-inspired look with contemporary finishes, an open kitchen, full-service bar and multiple dining areas.

A glass-walled dining and bar space leads into a quartz-topped bar anchored by a custom mural of Lupo, the Italian word for “wolf.” The restaurant also includes an eight-seat chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen and a main dining room that opens onto an outdoor patio.
