Hello everyone and happy Sunday!

This is Washington’s South Beach Cookbook, featuring a drawing of a chicken on the cover for some odd reason lol

This is a smaller cookbook, but I think the recipes are still worth a read through. Because this is on the coastal side of Washington, this is a great book for anyone who loves seafood. It even teaches you how to cook crab, although I do think it’s funny that the butter and garlic are listed as “optional, for flavor”. If you’re not gonna add any spice, butter and garlic should definitely be recommended

I would like to try making the Peanut Butter Loaf. It sounds simple

Really intrigued by the crunchy cobbler because I haven’t seen a cobbler recipe yet that has you blending ingredients like that. Has anyone tried it like this?

Oh yeah, speaking of simple, I’m definitely making the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies lol. I always have almond bark on hand and I did always like those peanut butter and Ritz snacks when I was a kid. I’m sure they’d taste even better dipped in chocolate

I didn’t have a whole lot of opinions for this book, but that’s a-okay, there just wasn’t a whole lot that grabbed my attention. I still hope that it’s a great read for all of you who are checking out the post!

Feel free to sound off in the comments and I’ll see you around

Here is the link! We did ittttt, 80 scans 🥳 Only 20 more to go until I reach 100, and then I’m gonna retire

No I’m kidding, I shall remain an archivist for as long as possible

Also, 200 followers?? You all are so insane 🤩 Thank you to everyone who follows me, because I slowly watch the count tick up every so often and it really makes me happy when I see so many people like my contributions enough to want to follow my progress

Occasionally I also get notified when somebody mentions me in a post or a comment! I really appreciate those of you who spread the word. The point of this project is to make as many home-cooked recipes as accessible as possible. Whether these books are being used for inspiration, entertainment, or education, all of this is for the cooking community, so sharing around really helps!

Lol. Neat recipes. Spinach Sandwiches? Wheat Germ Patties (wonder how many of y’all know wheat germ lol)?

Maybe that’s a seagull? Maybe a pier instead of the big dildo I initially thought? (Sorry, I have a bad mind.)

I tried making the crunchy cobbler and it has much more sugar than I am used to, did not enjoy.
