check on Amazon for other options.. but considering that this hobby is not cheap and you got the XL for free.. I would buy the BGE one.. your other option is to buy the expander and Add two ceramic half moons, so you kill two birds with one stone for direct and indirect
My three month old conveggtor fell off the bolt-rack and broke into three pieces. I already have the CGS WOO, so I bought their full moon deflector for $60. With the Woo, I have no reason that I can think of to own the BGE version.
You also need a kick ash basket. That iron plate under the lump is a POS.
My suggestion would be to purchase the off brand xl eggspander off of Amazon and then purchase the ceramic plates from ceramic grill store….🤙🏾
BGE products are pricier because they are of the highest qualify.
Trust me when I tell you that going the cheap route with this stuff will always end up costing you more.
I mean you really don’t need it unless you’re smoking. I don’t use mine 90% the time
