Daniel Muniz sustained a shoulder injury while in high school nearly 20 years ago. The incident led him down a career path of physical therapy. After working for several practices, Muniz decided to venture out on his own with Revolutionary Physical Therapy.
Muniz is now the sole provider at Revolutionary PT, which he launched a little more than a year ago in Lightfoot after growing frustrated by the lack of follow-through once a patient is recovered.
“I felt like there was a piece of the puzzle missing,” he said. “I want to not only help relieve their pain but also help them work toward whatever goal they have. I want to help people reach their full potential.”
Revolutionary PT treats patients, in person and remotely, who suffer from a variety of injuries, applying customized plans designed to meet their needs long after physical therapy ends. In addition to assisting with recovery, the goal is to set them up for success by teaching them the proper way to exercise, particularly when it comes to strength training.
“Strength training is an integral part of our health and an effective tool for recovering from an injury,” he said. “Sometimes it is tough to navigate things on your own. I’m there to show them how to do it safely, confidently and comfortably. I want to be a trusted resource for them.”
Muniz involves patients in their treatment plans by allowing them to select exercises they enjoy.
“They are more likely to achieve their goals if they feel seen, heard and empowered,” he said. “It’s important to bring some joy to the process. It should be fun.”
As Revolutionary PT continues to expand, Muniz would also like to start growing his community outreach through educational talks about fitness.
“I want to make an impact,” he said. “If I can give someone one less thing to worry about, that is huge.”

Olive oil and vinegar store opening in downtown Williamsburg
A new olive oil and vinegar store will open soon at 218 N. Boundary St. in downtown Williamsburg.
Adam Potopa initially launched Revolutionary Oils & Vinegar two years ago, selling his products at various markets and festivals, including 2nd Sundays Art & Music Festival.
“My main products are extra virgin olive oils sourced from Tunisia and balsamic vinegars from Italy,” he said. “I currently carry six varieties of olive oil and six varieties of balsamic vinegar, and I plan to expand that selection once the storefront opens.”
Oil flavors include parmesan garlic, roasted garlic, Meyer lemon and blood orange, while the balsamic vinegars range from lighter fruit flavors to richer dark balsamics, including strawberry, honey ginger, fig and bourbon. The shop also plans to carry complementary products such as specialty pastas, olives, bread-dipping seasonings, bread boards and other items.
Additionally, the space will be shared with another vendor, Dean Gasmalla, operator of K&S Wood Crafts. Gasmalla will carry a variety of kitchenware, home and decor merchandise made from North African Tunisia olive wood.
Potopa is aiming for an opening of his new storefront in October.
“I want the store to be about more than simply selling bottles of olive oil and vinegar,” he said. “A big part of the experience will be helping customers learn how to use them. Customers will be able to discover different flavor combinations, get recipe ideas and see how oils and vinegars can be used for everything from marinades, grilling and pasta dishes to baking, desserts and even beverages.”
