New band kit

Yep i know my old Greg egg is bad. Look at that beautiful crack around most of it. Bought it used 2 years ago and it's been amazing. Recently picked up a minimax and now I'm going to weld up a table to fit the two.

Bought a new band kit because getting it out of the hole will be hell without removing the lid and it obviously needs one. Just wondering about the new kit saying 08 and newer. I have no problem with metalworking or other mechanical issues but wondering if other issues may arise. Mine is likely 20 plus years old.
