I also added Trader Joe's short ribs. Mm! And of course some chips and a fizzy peach lemonade. Maybe chocolate. I used udon bc I couldn't find other noodles that would be good for this dish.

No onion? Looks like it need *alot* more onion.

My God, the “(half) Korean” was really unnecessary and icky.

Overall vibe is pretty icky, fetishy tbh.

But it’s 2026 we say people are both X and X ancestry, we don’t have to divide their cultural belonging into fractions.

“I made no effort to properly make a dish for a coworker I’m harassing, are you all impressed?”

Yikes tough crowd… if it’s any consolation OP my 4 year old saw the picture of your noodles and said “oooh yummy!” As a 1/2 Korean I thought it was thoughtful gesture, although perhaps not authentic. Would love to hear what your crush thought.

People forgetting that jajangmyeon is just a delicious mess to begin with. Ignore everybody OP I would be so impressed if you made saucy noodles like this for me!

OP did good with this thoughtful gesture with short rib included no less. Made with love in mind not authenticity

  10. Looks tasty!

Next time add some slices cucumbers on top and have some diced white onion in white vinegar as a side dish, It’s a game changer.

If you have a Korean grocery store nearby they sell the noodles and such you need to make this dish. It’s actually very simple.

Pick up that and some kimchi and you’re set for your next dinner date.

Onion and kimchi don’t sound like the most romantic of foods but if they’re any part Korean theyll love it.

Time to learn how to make kimchi next 😍

It looks fantastic, I’ve eaten in korean restaurants and honestly looks exactly same.

Interesting choice, but it should be reversed and he should be preparing it for you because his whole life he’s probably had the best of the best, so your attempt is going to be sub-par, he’s going to have to choke down the food and pretend to like it.

So thoughtful (: as a fellow half-Korean I approve of this cute gesture! There’s nothing like bonding over a yummy meal.

  15. The way to any Korean is through food. Good job!

Believe me, you chose wisely going with Udon.
