QUEENSBURY, NY (WRGB) — Believe it or not, October is around the corner. The month marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Adirondack Brewery and Extreme Heights Cideries aim to raise $20,000 for the 14th annual “Drink Pink” fundraiser.
The fundraiser benefits the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign by the American Cancer Society (ACS). The six-week campaign includes a fundraising walk, a calendar of events, raffle baskets, merchandise, and more.
During its Drink Pink campaign, Adirondack Winery will offer a variety of specialty products to help support the fundraiser at both locations in Lake George and Queensbury.
This includes the “Drink Pink Berry Breeze” wine, a limited-edition version of its popular mixed berry rosé, which is given a pink cap and special label, available only during the fundraiser and only available at Adirondack Winery’s Tasting Rooms and online.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks event has been happening for over two decades, but post-COVID, it has been volunteer-planned.
The Making Strides Walk happens on October 25th at the Glens Falls City Park. Registration opens at 9:30 am, the opening ceremony is at 10 a.m., and festivities run until noon.

According to Making Strides, the female breast cancer death rate peaked in 1989 and has fallen 44% through 2023. This is thanks to increased awareness, research, and support. A 5-year relative survival rate for invasive breast cancer is 92% overall, but more than 42,000 women and men are expected to die from breast cancer in 2026 in the U.S.
Adirondack Winery and Extreme Heights Cideries Co-Owner Sasha Pardy joined the CBS6 team to share more about the fundraiser.
