BONNER, Mont. — Bonner-based Planetary Design has acquired CapaBunga, a California wine country brand known for products designed to preserve wine and food.
Planetary Design, best known for its travel French press, offers a range of products aimed at coffee lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The company says the acquisition will expand its reach into wine, food preservation and entertaining.
CapaBunga will join several brands under the Planetary Design umbrella.
Company leaders say the move is part of the business’s continued growth from its headquarters near Missoula, where the Blackfoot River meets the Clark Fork.
The acquisition comes as Planetary Design marks 10 years under CEO Jess Nepstad. The company celebrated another milestone in 2024 with the opening of its new home in Bonner.
The CapaBunga brand is expected to launch in October.
