LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — One of the suspects charged in connection with an explosion outside a local restaurant last year has been sentenced.
According to court records, John Navarro pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree arson and manufacturing or possessing an explosive or incendiary device. He was sentenced to two to six years in prison on each count.
In November 2025, police were called to an explosion outside Piero’s Italian Cuisine in the 300 block of Convention Center Drive. Investigators believe two men arrived at the business as one of them placed a package in front of the door and lit a fuse before both suspects fled. A few minutes later, the package exploded.
Five people, including Navarro, were charged as a result of the explosion.
