OP, I am by no means an expert on Swedish cuisine but I was in Malmö a month or so ago. Needless to say, the smörgÄsbord had these every day.
And while I’m 99% convinced it was intended to be consumed with another dish (salmon, I guess), the mustard dill sauce absolutely slapped with the meatballs.
I think the official designation is *hovmÀstarsÄs* and is trivial to make.
