They always have the best deals on meat. Brisket was 50% off. Pork butt 50% off. And then all the crazy deals on chicken and hamburger. I spent $150 and got about $700 worth of meat.

Any idea where and when and what’s in those pre made burgers?

  2. You sure it’s not that fake USDA (now recalled) meat?

Minor correction. Most of us pay $700 for $150 worth of meat.

I would be buying all of that and it would grill baby grill ALL DAY LONG (also investing in a deep freezer for this purpose I guess?)

I always check out the reduced price bin. Lots of savings to be had.

Killer score! If you have a big freezer this is the way!

Another score at smiths is the vacuum sealed grass fed organic private selection cuts that will go deeply discounted too, several days before expiration.

So I guess Smith’s is just Kroger in a different region (the discount stickers look the same). I defintely always check the manager’s specials. And I’ve learned that different store locations seem to consistantly have better deals.

Yum, low-quality factory meat at cut-rate prices. And with no country-of-origin labeling, you have no idea where it came from. I haven’t bought ground beef in years. I grind it myself.

Wtf?? I’d drive out there right now for those prices..

Wow. Nice find OP. Grill one up for me.

  13. I had no idea Smiths was still around. they’ve retreated from southern CA like 30 years ago

I got a bunch of half frozen 1/lbs Costco patties after a block party this summer, ended up browning about 6lbs and seasoning with taco seasoning. Vacuum sealed them in 2lbs packs!
