One of my regular places (due to the gluten free options) but the menu is… interesting

This doesn’t seem very handcrafted. It seems like a generic restaurant. Is the crazy bit in the cover just pure marketing insanity?

  2. bimbozz

This is enough for me to get a migraine

  3. Gemetzel1337

Hand crafted, subtle flavors… Then shows the same basic af recipes I see at nearly every diner?

    Still would eat there.

  4. Brunoise6

93% lean pork loin burger sounds fucking AWFUL.

  5. WineyOldMan

Just FYI you missed a few redactions

  6. Pork burger made of ground loin? Holy dry, batman.

  7. HeartOfPine

I am so tired of places saying they will have adventurous new takes on down-home recipes and it’s just burgers and tacos.

  8. Wemetintheair

One of my favorite things is restaurant menus that do a six paragraph lore dump about their rich history and historic location and unique philosophy and then you flip open the menu and it’s like… potato soup and grilled salmon and shit

  9. Own_Masterpiece1447

Gluten free Mac and cheese with Italian pasta?

  10. Pdchefnc

From the apps to dessert, these are all made by Sysco or someone else.

Or else why would they just take the exact items that everyone else does.

The fact Sysco sells all the gf stuff now doesn’t help the cause that they are homemade cus GF.

There is nothing special from any of this, and the menu is far too large for it all to be home made. Unless they have a giant crew. But glad they draw the line with ranch. Cus all those fried items require something to dip in, and at least that is special.

Wow this menu was a ride. Is there only one bbq and it’s…. strawberry?

  12. maggies_farm_hand

Sounds like you need a shot of MAHOMIE TESTOSTERONIE!

  13. BubbleCrum

“I love to layer subtle flavors. Here’s my list of chicken strips.” Bless

  14. The first panel needs a “↓ JUMP TO MENU ↓” button.

  15. innerbeauty67

    -be in Kansas

-only have a single BBQ option

    -it is strawberry.

Bruh wtaf. I grew up in the South, I am mentally screaming at the baffled logistics here

  16. JustAnAverageGuy

WTF is their problem with beef?

Even Joe Dirt is smart enough to know: “It’s not about what you want. It’s the consumer.”

  17. No-Temperature4330

After reading that blurb, and the fact they were utilising their science degree to come up with dishes, I was expecting a menu that was a little more Heston Blumenthal and a little less generic/mediocre than whatever that is.

  18. Think-Yogurt5736

Feels like the drinks are the focus here

  19. Ok-Cardiologist4844

This took me forever to read. Everything made me pause after reading it, then I had to go back and reread things.

  20. kitterpants

“Our concoction” of… oh, right, just pickle juice and vodka.

  21. Splendid_Carpark

Interesting setup, exceedingly disappointing payoff. I expected an imaginative menu, not one filled with generic-but-“different” bar food.

  22. OnYinzRings

All bs aside, the no upcharge for the gluten free bun is nice touch.

  23. EducationalFigure658

All the different fonts, the odd color blocks, random capitalization. I would absolutely not be reading that whole story on the front. Geez

  24. WaterUnderTh3Fridg3

Dr. Bronner’s type ranting. Throws me off my feed.

  25. BoopingBurrito

These days I genuinely appreciate someone who isn’t using AI to design to their menu, and who gives more information about the dish than the 3 main ingredients.

Reads to me like a bar with an extensive food menu rather than a restaurant.

And the idea of horseradish vodka horrifies me…that shit has to be a crime against humanity.

  26. Pork rinds are 4 bucks for a pint. Or you can get a gallon (8 pints) for 8 bucks.

  27. devdude25

The table side smoked old fashioneds at a burger joint, along with having to pay extra for a cold mug for beer are certainly choices…not good ones to be sure

  28. themystif

How are we ignoring the ‘my staff has the challenging job of keeping me happy’? What a fucking nightmare.

  29. gennessee

Are they charging $3.59 to put a lime in your water?

  30. Winter_Fall_7066

What group of 4-6 are “feasting” on 12 wings and 18 shrimp 🤣

  31. TheKhun

I love the attempt of trying to hide the name but they couldn’t help themselves in some of the descriptions lol

  32. BoardsofCanada3

“My science degree qualifies me to make food” and “be patient with staff who are overworked just keeping me happy”

    I hate this person already.

  33. AltGunAccount

Stammering on about a science degree and complex flavor layers and you open it up to fried catfish as the first menu item.

    Lol, lmao, even.

  34. sammidavisjr

My homemade Ranch doesn’t use that generic packet of seasonings that when combined with buttermilk and mayo make a controversially delicious nectar.

Nah, we take the same shit and leave out the msg for reasons of ignorance so it doesn’t taste as good.

I did like “Squeal Parmesan” tho.

  35. Hero0ftheday

ok +1 for “Squeal Parmesan” and “Smashed Box” but like…93% ground pork burgers and “My staff have the challenge of keeping ME happy El Oh El!!” is just like….yikes.

  36. mar__iguana

I unironically love unhinged menus. It feels like they give you insight to a person’s mind. Like why did you think I needed to know this??

  37. divuthen

Wait Mr. Pib and Diet Dr. Pepper on the same menu? That may be one of the more unhinged things.

  38. rasputinknew1

Never seen an owner lay claim to a special ketchup before. I think dining here would stress me out because I wouldn’t want to interact with Todd and I bet he’s always lurking around.

  39. SaltywithaTwist

But what if I want exactly 6 chicken strips? The menu only allows me to choose 3, 4, 5 or 7. Why can’t I have 6? (Cries tears of msg-riddled ranch.)
