Got to eat in the newly re-opened, Glovers Alley by Adam Nevin last night, by far the best fine dining experience I’ve ever had. Every single course was absolutely brilliant and the Veal Sweetbread was especially nice. Also my first time getting a wine pairing with my meal and the wines were all excellent
The opening bites were a deep fried Dublin Bay Prawn, a tube of Foie Gras Royale, a Lobster tartlet and a jalapeño Crustad with Knockomore cheddar and jalapeño jam.
The first course was Scallops served with Citrus and sour creme. I was told the citrus elements were frozen at a very low temp and you could actually see the steam coming off the container in the servers hand it was that cold, it made it a very interesting and great dish
The second course was the Dublin Coddle dish. Having seen pictures of this course online I was very happy to get to try it and it was very nice.
The third course was the Veal Sweetbread, probably my favourite of the night but it’s hard to choose. It was served with a gorgeous sauce and came with really nice bread to mop up that sauce
The fourth course was the Clogherhead Lobster served with Yuzu, coriander and Satay. This was my first time eating lobster and it was delicious, it was served with a very nice deep fried bread on the side which was great with the Satay sauce.
After this I was sent an unexpected squid course which I was so excited to eat I forgot to take a picture. It was my first time eating squid and it was delicious.
The final course before the desserts was the 60 day dry aged beef served with a gorgeous mash potato and a delicious red wine sauce on the side with more bread to scoop up that lovely sauce.
I was then served a delicious Palate cleanser of Cucumber Lime and Gin.
I was then brought the main dessert of Valrhona Guanaja, black sesame, black vinegar, dashi. This dessert was a great finish to the meal and was delicious
I was then served some nice sweets to finish the meal, the nicest of which was the Tirimasu tart.
I was very exited for this meal and it did not disappoint, every single course was absolutely stunning and all the wines were delicious and paired very well. Definitely by far the best dining experience I’ve ever had and I will definitely be going back, I’d recommend anyone to go there

Fine Dining in Ireland has never been better! Hope it begins some more credit internationally
Awesome to see Dublin here! Thanks for sharing <3
I enjoyed it a few years back. Do they still have multiple supplement courses? Was slightly annoying.
We were extremely underwhelmed by Glovers Alley a couple of years ago. This looks far better.
