From what the gal told me, it just was too expensive for them to continue making it. I also picked up some of their two different BBQ sauces and a garlic chili sauce, as I'm sure they are stopping production on those as well.

Yeah, its a lot closer to the “original sriracha”, than the current Huy Fong stuff, surprisingly the Tabasco variant is a pretty good replacement though
Edit: The to than

Yeah I had ordered some from them on Amazon during the big shortage of Huy Fong
Then after learning about the whole situation was sticking with Underwood exclusively until recently when I went to order more and couldn’t find it

That fuckin sucks.
Side note: The Americanized Chinese-y font used for Asian products always makes me think of the Black Dragon Fighting Society and Count Dante’s Dim Mak technique

Why have they discontinued it? They still grow all the peppers, right?
I wonder if they have a buyer for all the peppers they grow? Jalapenos are stupid cheap for the amount of space and water they use. Guessing most of it will be replaced with a more profitable crop.

Costco had these and their BBQ sauce for a while, so I stocked up lol
I had been wanting to buy some but wanted to finish my current bottle of Huy Fong’s Sriracha. It’s taken me over a year to finish it and now Underwood has discontinued theirs? Just learned about it through this post…
Yeah… Just spent $59 on a single bottle because I cannot deal with not having purchased one when they were actively making/selling their Sriracha and now I’ve no choice but to pay a scalper. Sucks my money won’t go to Underwood Ranches. Huy Fong’s current sauce just isn’t as good as the OG.
