Well I got a little overzealous and ripped the packaging before taking a pic. Maybe my hunger helped, but this is by far the best Minerva product I've had. I have not particularly enjoyed any of their sardine products, but they did a damn fine job with this spiced mackerel tin. Meaty filets that were nicely salted and firm but not overly dry. The olive oil was serviceable, the carrot and pickle slice still had a bit of texture. Most of all the heat was a pleasant surprise. Typically spiced tins don't carry much in the way of actual spice, but this one packs some punch. Maybe I just got lucky with the giant red chili in the bottom of this tin, but either way the spice level here was noticeable and enjoyable. Overall good showing from a brand who I don't particularly care for. That's why it's worth trying everything at least once I guess! I think this was around the $8 mark at World Market, and I'd pay that again on occasion without a complaint. Nice job. 8.1/10
