LATHAM, NY (WRGB) — A longtime Italian restaurant in Latham has closed, and another eatery has moved into its place, according to a report from the Times Union.
The newspaper reported that The Taste of Italy has shut down and that La Famiglia Pizza and Pasta has taken over the location.
The closure comes months after Alyssa Cappello posted what was described as an insensitive comment under the restaurant’s Facebook page following the death of a young boy with autism. The post sparked backlash in the community, along with protests and vandalism.
