    Price: $28

    ABV: 14.8%

    Decanted for 45 minutes

Nose: Toasted almonds, red fruits, spices, with some floral notes

Taste: Strong tannins on the front, full bodied, bright and strong red fruits, good acidity to back it up, very long finish, mild licorice note, some minerality, espresso, and rich chocolate.

Overall: Good wine, I purchased on WTSO, it was at a decent price and I think it is a steal at $28. Admittedly, I was getting a similar feeling to a 2021 Chateau Montelena that I’ve tried about a year ago with the similarity in notes and structure which I think may be valid given how close the vineyards are to one another. It was delicious to me especially when enjoyed with a French onion burger with French fries! This is the first time I’ve tried something from the Jericho Canyon Vineyard, I really do appreciate the taste and experience as a whole. I am certainly buying more after this, it was a big surprise to me!
