ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Session Taco announced Monday it will be closing all its locations by the end of the week.
The Mexican restaurant made the announcement on social media, announcing that the two locations of Session Taco and LaPeZ Mod Mex will have their last day of service on Saturday.
“We are very proud to have been a neighborhood staple in The Loop, Soulard and the Central West End for over 10 years,” part of the post said.
The restaurant chain cited COVID, the economy, rising costs of goods and a trademark lawsuit as factors that impacted business.
The restaurants will offer dinner service but not lunch service from Tuesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to close.
Session Taco has two locations, one in Soulard and the other in the Central West End.
La PeZ Mod Mex is located in the Central West End.
The chain began in 2013 as Mission Taco Joint and changed names to Session Taco after settling a lawsuit with Mission Foods in 2023.
