I've only tried a few Fishwife tins, but I love lemon and gifted myself these. Unfortunately the lemon peel/rind gave the deens a little bit too bitter of a flavor. I wish I had bought a fresh lemon to go with it 😂 Ended up grabbing garlic cream cheese from my fridge to go with the plate.

Featuring assorted pickles and also my cat Frank coming in for a sniff

Agree. Most of the FW stuff is over hyped and over priced IMHO. Now the chili crisp….

Ive heard from many folks that these are bitter and off putting. They’re on my no try list.

It literally tasted like I was eating a straight lemon rind. It was gross. I have yet to find a lemon sardine I like. I just prefer to just squeeze a lemon on some regular olive oil sardines.

I like these! I actually think they’re one of the better Fishwife tins

  5. Fishwife has great packaging but the fish is mid at best.

    Hello Frank, boop!

Also sorry they are more bitter than you were hoping for.

I disliked these too. Ferrigno brand sardines with preserved lemon is much better. No bitterness and they might even be cheaper but don’t quote me on that.

FishWiff. These are terrible. The mackerel is the only thing worth eating from them.

I had the same problem with this tin, very bitter from the lemon rind.
