Weather was down to 50 degrees today, so i thought this would be a great meal. Made Tonkatsu curry using the JAVA brand this time. I definitely like it a lot better than the S&B brand. shoutout to the redditor in this sub that suggested it! Will be making this again forsure.
Onions, potatoes, carrots, chicken broth and pork chops. (Used sticky rice this time)The spicy panko was definitely the star or the show!

That looks so tasty! I’ve been wanting to do a spicier curry, I’ve only used Vermont brand and it’s really sweet. Was the Java spicy?

Tonkatsu looks pan fried and dry, pop it in the deep fryer instead for +-2min at 180c or 360f depending on the thickness or the cut for a much more consistent and tasty result, u want the breading to be golden and slightly oily

Spicy panko is dangerous 🥰 I already love tonkatsu, now you make me want crispy spicy one too. Is this your first time using spicy panko?
