Italy has been so generous with us. This country and its culture gave us big gifts, like unmatched landscapes, some very good actors and music, awesome expressions, and Trallalero Trallala. Still, none of that, no matter how cool it gets, compares to their food.
Mamma mia! Italian cuisine plays in a whole different league.
No, I don’t care what you have to say about it, France. Everyone knows Italian food is the best. Or are you going to say some bland croissant beats a warm lasagna in flavor, or a plate of ravioli with pomodoro sauce? No in this world, man.
And yes, maybe, in moments of desperation, Asian food enters the scene, but let me tell you something about that. One time, I got food poisoning from sushi, but pizza? Pizza would never do that to me.
Italian food made me cry one time, in fact, but out of emotion. That pasta tasted sooo darn delicious that I found no words to express it. I let the tears talk.
Food fills the belly, yet I hold the firm belief that Italian food travels straight to the heart. So, to pay homage to the owner of my feelings (and my extra pounds), l I brought a steaming plate with the best meme-ghettis on the web, loaded with Parmesan and ready to devour.
