Six Georgia restaurants received new Michelin distinctions at the Michelin Guide American South 2026 ceremony—held last night at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee—including two new Michelin stars, two new Bib Gourmands, and two new Michelin recommended restaurants.

Let’s start with the biggest: awarded new stars this year were So. Fox in Atlanta, and Uberto Restaurant in Gay, Georgia. They were two of only three restaurants across the seven-state region—which includes Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee—to receive a new star this year. The third was Dakar NOLA in New Orleans.

Earning new Bib Gourmands (awards that recognize exceptional food at a good value) were Summerland in Atlanta, which opened in July with James Beard Award-winning chef Anne Quatrano at the helm, and Tipsy Thaiger in Roswell.

Lastly, earning new Michelin recommendations were Pink Lotus in Atlanta, and Spring 2nd Branch in Marietta.

Uberto’s chef Ryan Smith was also one of two chefs recognized with Michelin’s new Mindful Voices award, which spotlights hospitality leaders whose sustainability, sourcing, and community work push the industry forward. Uberto sources more than 90 percent of its produce from its on-site regenerative farm, which runs entirely on solar power and uses no chemical pesticides or herbicides.

Another 58 Georgia restaurants earned repeat honors across the categories. Here’s the complete list of Georgia restaurants recognized this year:
