A new Mediterranean restaurant is headed to Jersey City Heights. Mallorca Mediterranean and American Cuisine is taking over the former Los Amigos space at 395 Central Avenue, bringing a new dining concept to the neighborhood’s main shopping and restaurant corridor. According to a post in the Jersey City Heights Restaurant, Pub & Eatery Facebook group, the incoming spot will serve Mediterranean and American food. What to Know
The space at 395 Central Avenue has recently undergone renovations with an interior layout for a restaurant. It was formerly home to Los Amigos, a Mexican restaurant known for its tacos. According to a recent post in the Jersey City Heights Restaurant, Pub & Eatery Facebook group, Mallorca Mediterranean and American Cuisine, a new restaurant will take over the 1,500-square-foot space.
According to the post, the restaurant will be holding a soft opening in late October. Details about the menu, ownership, and opening date are still to come. Mallorca will join a roster of several new businesses in Jersey City Heights, including a permanent brick-and-mortar for Jane’s Matcha, the Irish bar Kitty O’Shea’s, and PETALED, a new Pilates + yoga studio.
