Christian GrattoPLATTSBURGH, N.Y. —

The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is preparing to distribute 60,000 meals to families in Northern New York ahead of Thanksgiving.

The nonprofit organization’s effort spans 23 counties and 45 distribution sites. The Regional Food Bank partners with Market 32, Price Chopper, and other private donors to provide funding and food donations for the initiative.

“It’s a chance for us to get more food into the region at a time where there’s a lot of need and, you know, and also to help make Thanksgiving special,” said Tom Nardacci, CEO of the Regional Food Bank.

The meals will be distributed on Saturday, Nov. 21, at various locations throughout the North Country.
