Preparation

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the onions and garlic. Cook, stirring, until the onions are wilted.
  2. Sprinkle with the flour and stir to blend. Add the tomatoes, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Blend well and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Stir in the horseradish, adding more according to taste, and serve.
