Ingredients
- ½ of Basic Meat Sauce recipe
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano or 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 4 tablespoons coffee
- 1 cup dry red wine
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preparation
- To the basic meat sauce mixture add the remaining ingredients.
- Simmer about 1 hour, until the mixture is thick.
- Sauce can be refrigerated up to three days or frozen for longer.
