You combined my favorite Chinese street food with my favorite food food. Gonna have to give this a go myself. What did you use for the sauce? A red sauce? I feel like that would be weird.
Edit: Nevermind, saw the rest of the pics. Did you just throw cheese on top of the dough and top it?
sardinebrunch
A friend invited me to a lunch of Chinese food she was making, and when I asked what I could bring, she jokingly suggested “roujiamo pizza.” Roujiamo is a popular street food of chopped stewed pork and herbs in a bread that’s kind of like a split English muffin.
Since I love roujiamo and this actually sounded good, I decided to take the joke seriously.

This is overnight pan-pie dough ([recipe here](https://mrgan.tumblr.com/post/700924060122644480/pizza-romana-pizza-al-taglio-thin-pan-pizza)) topped with mozzarella, then the pork I stewed with dark and light soy sauces, scallions, lots of whole spices, shaoxing wine; well drained and chopped. I also added some scallions pre-bake.
Post-bake, I showered it with cilantro and more scallion, plus a tiny bit of hoisin. It went great with cumin lamb, cucumber salad, pea shoots, etc.
Always consider reimagining a dish in pizza form 🙂
Awesome!
