Asparagus has different stages in the growth. Seeds then ferns then asparagus shoots which you shouldn't pick until the third year and then only sparingly. After that pick a lot but not all. Each year it goes through these same stages and the roots get bigger and the ferns spread seeds which go through the same cycles.
Is that the fern from one seed or are you using multiple seeds to make one crown? How many asparagus shoots would you get from one seed? I have two out of 4 seeds germinated indoor one in peat pot and one in peat pellet (testing germination for both methods) only took 13 -16 days which is quick from my understanding of asparagus; still waiting for the other two. Do I transplant these into individual 10" pots or put them all into one?
Growing asparagus in a container garden is simply amazing but over-all, it is worth rewarding. Through this video, I got a new idea and I learned how to plant asparagus. I found out that it is very easy to grow. I would humbly share this post!
