Preparation
- Preheat the broiler to high.
- Split the tomatoes in half. Arrange the tomatoes cut side up on a baking dish. Sprinkle the cut halves with salt and pepper.
- Blend the bread crumbs, garlic, parsley and oil. Sprinkle equal portions over the tops of the tomatoes.
- Place the tomatoes about six inches from the source of heat and broil about five minutes.
