I’m new to this. Please help me improve this entree dish.
Octopus is braised in tomato sauce with other few stuff, garlic, sugar, saffron, etc. I want to use its sauce in the plate.
Can I instead make a small full-fledged side green salad instead of that? Where should I put it on the plate?
I dont have sourdough bread for toast so i just used white bread.
Thanks!
Can I just put the three (octopus, salad, and toast) in the same plate or should I get a seperate bowl for the octopus? If the latter, where do I put the greens and the toast?

You definitely need to get rid of the greens. They aren’t adding anything and they look out of place. If it’s really saucy, keep it in the bowl. If not, put it right on the plate with the bread near it. You’ve done good with you you have.

Use a smaller plate. Use a firmer bread flatbread/baguette and get a little more char. Not seeing where the mayo is. Personally I think it’s unnecessary the dish is saucy enough. Ditch the lettuce and replace with another green garnish. Micro greens are nice but you can’t go wrong with some parsley. This seems like tapas food if you want to make it a main it you’ll have to really switch it up.

It looks tasty, but the presentation is a bit dated in my opinion. I think it’s mostly the large plate with the square dish on top of it. The crustless sandwich type bread also adds to that, I’d much prefer a bit of baguette or some focaccia.
I love having greens with basically any dish but these don’t really feel like they’re part of the meal, just a garnish.
This last part might just be me but the octopus kind of looks like a couple of stacked shrimp.
