It’s been a very wet and cool six weeks since our mini heatwave broke in June, and the rain coupled with our poor first year soil has meant that our crops have been slow to get going. We’re also battling with slugs and wildlife, so there have been losses. Even so, we’re both really pleased with how things are looking at this point in the year. Our winter squash are doing really well, we have some tomatoes that are a good size and as soon as we get some sunshine they should ripen, and the dahlias and cosmos are starting to bloom too.
