Ingredients for Homemade Apple Pie:

►6-7 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored (2 1/4 lbs or 7 cups thinly sliced)
►1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
►8 Tbsp unsalted butter
►3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
►1/4 cup of water
►1 cup granulated sugar
►1 egg + 1 Tbsp water, for egg wash
Ingredients for Butter Pie Crust Dough Recipe:
►2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus more to dust, *measured correctly
►1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
►1/2 tsp sea salt
►1/2 lb COLD unsalted butter (2 sticks) diced into 1/4″ pieces

Apple pie totally yummy GREAT
I've only made apple pie once (not your recipe) and although it turned out nicely, I had to cover the edges with foil and bake much longer bcz the dough in the bottom did not cook thru or brown at all.
I'm going to try yours. Does this pie dough cook on the bottom before the edges burn? No need to blind bake at all?

First time baking apple pie, not even american, i had to do small ajustments to the dough (plus i sliced up WAY too many apples) but the end result was excellent, great recipe
That pie crust was a nightmare to work with. Completely fell apart and needed way more water. Still had a really hard time rolling it out.
Tbh the sauce wasn't right for me , I suffered a lot to fix it , but the dough and the rest seemed pretty good
How in the holy hell are all these people making this sauce and not having it turn into a big gloppy mess? I just made it three times and wasted so many ingredients on it. As soon as you add the water it turns into a weird paste and as soon as it cools it’s hard as a rock. HOW IS THIS RECIPE CORRECT??
