  18. Further proof that I am an unmitigated disaster when it comes to baking. I’ve been dying to try this recipe and nothing turned out but I know it’s me. My cherries released a lot of liquid and the corn starch sugar mixture never thickened any of the juice. The pie dough Wouldn’t roll out kept splitting. I will just have to eat with my eyes and look at your pie. Would love to see a video on how to fix pie disasters like this. Why didn’t my juice thicken? Was the corn starch old? It was within the date. Should I have cooked it more? Drained it off? It looks so simple on your videos, but in reality not so much.
